Bodegas Alión

Alión is a modern reinterpretation of Ribera del Duero which was born in the 1990s to bring a contemporary vision of the tradition of the area. A timeless wine, a reflection of the inherited arts in Ribera del Duero. With a pioneering and independent character, a mirror of landscapes and landscapes, it perfectly conveys the balance between finesse and character, between modernity and classicism.

In 1986, Alión, the second winery of the Álvarez family, was founded as an independent project of Vega Sicilia, with the aim of making modern and differentiated wines, within the Ribera del Duero denomination of origin. In 1995 the first vintage of Alión was launched on the market, an example of the contemporary and elegant style that defines the winery.

The winery, located in Peñafiel, began its vinification process in the 1993 vintage with a production ceiling of 350,000 bottles. Since then, the following have been implemented important technological innovations in the production, fermentation and ageing processesto reinforce the quality and precision of the wines.

Alión is today internationally recognised as one of the world's leading wineries for its excellence in the production of modern Ribera del Duero wines.
